Well it was a good try at least

It seemed like a short 16 years ago that the wall fell in Berlin and Mother Russia adopted the so lovable form of government known as Democracy. But alas this seems to have all come to an end thanks to the great leadership of a man named Vladimir Putin. In the run up to the national elections for a "new" president since he had reached his end on term limits, Putin effectively used his training from his days as a KGB agent to silence the media, quite any potential rivals, and had his successor Dmitry Medvedev elected as the new president and himself elected as Prime Minister which carries no term limits.
Even better, following this election, was Victory Day in Russia a holiday commemorating the allied victory over Nazi Germany. In honor of this day, Russia did something it hasn't done since the days of communism. They rolled out the tanks, missile launchers, and goose stepping troops in a show of military power not seen since the days of Gorbachev.
So returns Mother Russia and another in a long line of attempts of Russia to move past a form of dictatorship has fallen by the wayside. A sad day for supporters of democracy, freedom, and human rights. Anybody remember how to hide under your desk in case of nuclear war?
